Okay, so I can't actually believe I'm writing in my journal. I never thought I would and it's kind of weird, I must admit, but I got sick of logging in and LJ telling me it's been 3955+ weeks since my journal has been updated, and is there some sort of a problem? Okay, okay already, I give in.

So now, what to write? Truly a dilemma. For those of you that don't already know this, the reason that I have this journal in the first place is that my daughter - the lovely and supremely talented

ellyrianna - decided that it was just creepy that I would read people's stories and comment as "anonymous." She set the whole thing up for me, helped me choose some icons, and

camelhaircoat was born.

Since my obsession with fic was the reason that this LJ came to be, I decided it only fitting that I dedicate this post to thanking some of the authors who have not ony given me so many hours of pleasure these past months, but have also been nice enough to answer my comments in such a friendly and welcoming way. I really wasn't expecting that at first - just wanted them to know how much their work was appreciated - and to actually receive an answer made the whole experience even more fun. I actually feel like I've made a couple of fandom friends, although I must say I have noticed that a couple of the more "famous" authors in the fandom don't really acknowledge my comments because I haven't written in my journal. I will still continue to read their stories though, just because I enjoy them and their writing is that good.
